100 Reasons Running is Awesome Linkup!

Welcome to Ashley's and my linkup party, where runners around the great internet will (hopefully) be linking up with us to share their reasons why running is awesome.

Ashley is a runner too and just completed her first marathon (the Illinois Marathon) the same weekend I ran the Oklahoma City Marathon! I'm so excited she decided to host this linkup with me.

The fact that I love running should be obvious from the few (hundred) posts I've written over the past three years. There are a lot of reasons I think running is awesome (I'm not even going to mention the fact that running gives me a legit reason to jam out to Taylor Swift). But today I want to talk about this:

You think I'm kidding.

I can't tell you how many times I've been frustrated or stressed or angry, so I put on my running shoes and get moving. Twenty, thirty, forty minutes later and I'm back feeling refreshed in that awesome sweaty kind of way. That's why you can thank running for keeping my homicidal tendencies at bay.

Running is the perfect escape that requires little preparation besides changing clothes (or not, if you're me and only ever wear workout gear all the time anyway). It gets my heart pumping and my legs moving, and by the time I'm done with a run I feel SO much better. I know it's the endorphins talking, but I don't even care.

I know that's not a very complicated answer, but it's the truth. As strange as it may sound to a non runner, running keeps sane

Now I want to know... Why do you run?

If you're a runner who blogs or a blogger who runs or a wannabe runner or a newbie runner or a longtime runner, write a post with a reason that running is awesome and join the party! Grab a button if you so choose and link up below. Then, go visit the other blogs for some running inspiration.

Also, make especially sure you stop over and say hello to my co-host: Ashley from Coffee and Macarons. If you tell her I sent you.... well, okay nothing's going to happen. But do it anyway!

Yay! I love your reason. There have been many school days where the only thing keeping me together is the fact that my running clothes are stored under my desk to change into *immediately* after the last bell rings. For reals.

I debated between that one and the one I wrote about so I'm happy we covered the bases together. We? Are awesome.

Maybe I need to start running to work on my stress issues. How do you just start running anyway? You should totally blog about it. Teach me your ways.

Ooo, are you going to do this regularly?

Totally agree, Amanda! Some days running is all that keeps me from wanting to break down from stress!

And haha - Taylor Swift doesn't have enough beat/energy to keep me going! I hate Ke$sha in my normal life, but she keeps me going when I'm running!

Thanks so much for hosting this link-up! So much fun! :)
