A Family that Takes Funny Pictures Together, Stays Together

8.28.2013

I love my family for many reasons, but my absolute most favorite thing about them is that they are game for picture taking. There's none of this "I don't want to be in front of the camera" business. It's "let's be crazy and ridiculous." Every. Single. Time.

And it's awesome.

A few weekends ago, Jordan and I drove down to Texas for an end-of-summer spectacular. Picture taking ensued, and although the mosquitoes covered us in bites and the fire ants stung our toes (freaking Texas fire ants ain't no joke, people!) and the sun got in our eyes, we rocked it.

Tripod for the win.

love.

It also happens to be my dad's birthday today! Happy birthday, Dad.
Love you!

OK, your family is officially awesome!! LOVE these pictures--I wish my fam would do this more often. We take self photos a lot, and we don't always make straight faces, but we don't have photo sessions like this. So fun :)

My favorite thing about my family is that we have dinner together almost every night. At least on Sundays for sure. And my sister still comes over with her daughter and we get to spend time together...it's a wonderful tradition!!

LOVE this. I'm jealous that your family is so game for funny pictures and pictures in general!

Also, I like the new header. I'm not sure how new it is, but I like it :)

THESE ARE SO FUN. I wish my family took more pictures! My biggest regret of the year, maybe the past several years or maybe ever, is that I didn't get a picture with my parents after my half marathon. :(

We did get some pretty great pictures at my cousin's wedding a couple summers ago -- having an open bar and a photobooth helped out!

That we're mostly girls so when it's time for a family weekend it usually turns into a big girly party. Poor boys what few there are.

Haha, I love these pictures! Your family looks awesome! My German family is so small but I really miss them! I do have a huge American family and I am so glad that they are all so sweet and welcoming!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I love yours!

My favorite thing about my family is how many of them there are! My dad is 1 of 9 and my mom is 1 of 3 and every single one of their siblings has children. I have about 50 cousins that I adore and our family reunions are ALWAYS a blast! It's just hard living so far away from everyone (19 hours...boo!)

I wish my family took such cool pictures! Because these are amazing. Our one move is picking up the dogs and standing in a line. We cray, whut whuttt!!

Everyone is so goofy, I love it! Haha, my dad is the tripod in the family. He refuses to get into pictures, only take them.

My family tends to hate the camera so it is so awesome that your love it!! Strike that my niece loves the camera. Look at you pimpin out your brother! Haha! I love that my family is really goofy, silly and fairly laid back.

I love the family photos. What I love about my family is that there are 4 of us siblings in 5 years (my poor Mom). Growing up we decided we would stay in contact at least once a week whether it be e-mail, phone, a letter, etc. We pretty much stick to that and it's great.

How old's your brother? I've got a sister... wink wink!
These are so fun! My favorite thing about my family is that we are all really good at cheesy jokes and we can really get it going when we're all around the dinner table together :)

Awesome pictures. While my family can be goofy they're likely less inclined to have it photo-documented. What I love about my family is that I grew within a half hour or less from my cousins, grandparents, etc. I didn't realize until I went to college just how rare that is.

How cute are you guys?? I love these! I am always hiding from the camera - I should be a better sport!
