Jordan = 1 book
Don't Know Much About the Civil War by Kenneth C. Davis

Amanda = 2 books
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway

Traveled
Nowhere. Womp womp.
You guys, we have got to get out more.
Donations welcome.

Dates

April 12: Went to the zoo and then out for pizza!

April 7: Date night in (Jordan's idea!)
We got Chinese and played this new game we got called Quiddler.
It's like Scrabble but takes way less time.
Jordan likes to annoy me by using weird video game words I've never heard of.

April  8: Google chat date with my besties.
I always feel like I'm in a commercial when we're all on the chat together.
And no, they do not know I was taking creepster pictures during the chat.

3 Things That Happened in April Last Year
-I ran a marathon (I can't believe it's been a year!)

Notable Events

I PRd my 10K! Click for race recap.
It started raining at the end. I didn't really sweat quite that much.

Ran a 5k with my mom (go here for the recap!)

Meanwhile, the race was delayed 2 hours, and Jordan took a nap in a parking garage.

The End.

See you in a month for our first-day-of-May picture!

You had one fabulous month!!! (I love the google chat you had with your gals! I may need to schedule something like this with my own besties soon.

I've read Between Shades of Grey! What did you think of it? And I loved that your present to your mom was a race together...I just may borrow that idea! :)

Yay for PRs! Congrats on your great run, and a very fun-filled April! And thanks for reminding me to get back out there and run. I kind of fell off the running wagon this month.

I really liked Between Shades of Grey. It was better than Ruta Sepety's first book I read a few months ago.
I thought it was sad, but it was also really interesting. I had no idea that deportation of the Baltic regions ever happened! After I finished the book, I did some more research on it. I just can't believe that happened. Really sad. But the book was good, I thought.

What a fun month! :) I have been talking about going to the zoo lately (especially since a new baby giraffe was just born this week at ours!) so now this solidifies that Jared and I need to go!! :)

Such a cool month you had! I really love that monthly picture of you two. I need to start taking some photos of Arnaud and I. :)
And I'm running my first ever 10K in a week. I'm kinda terrified.

I still say I'm going to do this every month :)

I just love these posts :) looks like I have a new game I need to try!

I like that I see lots of pictures of you with your thumbs up! That's legit! Also, when I read the books you read I first read, 50 Shades of Gray... and then did a retake. Between Shades of Gray, got it.

I love Jordan's serious face in the second picture. And I play Quiddler with my cousins from time to time and argue with them a LOT about acceptable words. They always want to use words lik "qi" and I'm like sure, that's a word, that's a romanized Chinese word--but I highly doubt you know the meaning of it! And if we want to start including romanized Chinese words, children, I will totally beat you... :P

I still LOVE this idea so much, especially with the whole recap. I clearly am not very good at keeping up with these things (lasted three weeks with the weekly picture challenge thing?) but I can enjoy yours and dream. And that second picture of you two Jordan looks like a cardboard cutout to me. Your own husband cutout!

LOVE the second picture :) And I totally want Dunkin Donuts now!

I love google chatting. Sometimes I'll co-cook with my friends using Google Chat.

What a productive month! I should do something like this at the end of each month.

Ha! It's a blanket. He kept glaring at us and then putting the blanket back over his head. It was hilarious!
