Read
Ah! I didn't finish a book in July. Fail.
I'm currently in the middle of 2 books:
A Dance of Dragons (Part 2) by George RR Martin
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach

Traveled
Hey look at us! We actually went out of the country this month.

Dates
July 12--We went for dinner and to see that documentary America
July 15--Zip-lining across the Oklahoma River!
This was on my Oklahoma summer bucket list, and I told Jordan we were doing it for my birthday. It was... well, zip-lining across the Oklahoma River. I'll let you picture it for yourself. But I'm glad I went once to see what it was like.

Things that Happened in July Last Year

Notable Events
I turned 28 and Jordan turned 29!
He wanted to wear that hat. I promise.

Finally, on Tuesday, July 29, my brothers, sister, and sister-in-law stopped by for dinner!
They were driving back to Texas from Illinois and decided to swing by. Selfie for the win!
_____________

I guess now it's time to say hello to August!
This year is flying. It's crazy.

What a great month!! I really love this series. So fun to see you guys from month to month.

How are you liking Stiff? I saw that on your goodreads and got really curious!

Being out of the country totally wins the month! I have always wanted to go zip-lining. That last group shot is too funny! Looks like a great month was had by all!

Happy belated birthday! Your "I love my husband" tee is cracking me up, I love it.
Ziplining sounds like fun! Doing it over the Oklahoma river was a must for the Lady Okie, I'm glad you crossed that off your bucket list ;-)

I love the silly facial expressions in the photos of you + Jordan, they cracked me up! And zip-lining across the Oklahoma River? That sounds downright amazing. Future blog post maybe? :)

I love seeing these posts every month!

You went zip-lining! That is so cool! My mom really wants to do that. I think it would be cool, but I'm kind of afraid of heights. Although I have been parasailing. Is it kind of like that?

Y'all seriously need a trophy for your awesome silly faces. Oh, and I'm excited to hear about your trip!!!

You guys are so cute! Okay, I've always wondered- how do people read 2 books at the same time? You know what I mean? I'd need to finish one before starting another otherwise I feel like I can't really get into it. Might just be me! Oh, and that last serious selfie is amaaaaazinnggggg!!!! (<-- you have to sing that last part)

Ive just discovered your blog - you guys are so cute!

Happy belated Birthday! July looks like it was a great month. Zip lining is on my bucket list, too but I don't think we can do it anywhere here in Chicago!

you guys are so freaking cute, i can't even.
really - how the flip is it august?!

I just love all these posts! I kinda want to do something similar but is it OCD of me to feel like I can't start anything like this until January? And I think it's funny that you consider not finishing a book this month a fail... I don't finish a book most months. And actually reading how many you finished has motivated me to actually finish the books I get at the library!,

2014 really is flying. Lovely recap (and picture of you guys!). :)

I cannot believe how quickly summer is flying by!! Such happy pictures!! I will have to look up Stiff, sounds interesting. I have actually picked up reading books again, and finished three in the last couple of weeks!

The Lady Okie said...

Well, technically no one can read two books at literally the same time. What usually happens to me is that I'm in the middle of one, and then I see another one that sounds interesting and start it, and then all of the sudden I'm reading one on one night and one the next! It's not really the smartest plan...

The Lady Okie said...

I'm really liking Stiff! It's weird but oddly interesting. And author is funny, so it's not as morbid as you might think. I'm actually learning a lot!

Wow, what were you up to in Nicaragua? I enjoy reading your monthly recaps!

Victoria said...

I love your recap!!! :) And those pics at the end with your brothers, sister, and sister-in-law! What are you looking forward to in August?

Jennifer Prod said...

celebrating two birthdays, zip-lining, and visiting nicaragua? no wonder you didn't have to read a book -- too busy living the good life <3

I've never heard of Stiff! Since Chris is in med-school I'm so curious about that subject, so maybe I'll check it out! Also, zip-lining is a fantastic way to welcome a new year. Cheers to 28!

I still think it's kind of crazy that both of us and our husbands all have birthdays within days of each other. I feel like there should have been some sort of grand combined birthday ball that involved something like a waterballoon fight. If only Oklahoma were next to China...

The Lady Okie said...

It's SO COOL :)

The Lady Okie said...

Ha! It's not that OCD :) I often feel the same way. Glad my reading is inspiring you!

Ahh! Nicaragua! I am hoping you have blogged about it. Going to look now. :) (I am also a little afraid to read your post about target. I love target.)

This is so fun. I might have to steal this idea, starting with the new year.
