I’m excited to share with you a post today that’s all about staying confident even when you’re battling a cold sore. Some of my closest friends are cold sore sufferers and I know the toll they take on their confidence. That’s why they turn to Abreva® cream at the very first sign of their cold sore to heal it fast! The median healing time is 4.1 days, but you could heal it in as few as 2.5 days when used at the first sign. Read below to discover other simple ways you can keep your confidence high.
Now, let's be honest: I know that what I just wrote sounds like a made-up sponsored line in a sponsored post, but I'm not kidding. Before I started writing this post, I actually called my mom to ask if she'd heard of Abreva® cream, and she said and I quote, "Yes! I've been using it for years. We make sure to always have a tube handy." My mom gets the worst cold sores, and I know the toll they take on her confidence.
So there you have it. Abreva® cream is the only non-prescription cream approved by the FDA to shorten the healing time of a cold sore. But let's be honest: all I need to know is that my mother approves. Amen.
This holiday season, stay confident and free from cold sores by avoiding these common triggers: fatigue, stress, dry air, and UV rays.
You could knock out your cold sore in 2.5 days*. Only Abreva® cream can do it, when you treat at the first sign**. Try Abreva® cream during your next cold sore! Click to learn more about Abreva® cream.
*Median healing time 4.1 days. 25% of users healed in 2.5 days.
**Among over-the-counter products
I was compensated for this post, but all opinions are my own and my mother's.
Now, a holiday treat for you! Enter to win a $100 Visa gift card by leaving a comment on this post answering the following question: "What are your tips for staying confident through cold sore season?"

ReplyDeleteHeeeey Amanda!!! Hope you are well!! xo
ReplyDeleteOof. There was one year I had a cold sore right around my lady time for five months straight. It was annoying. Abreva was actually exactly who I turned to. Now, I just get dry skin on my legs (like, real bad) and I use Vaseline lotion religiously twice a day.
ReplyDeleteStaying confident in the winter? It's all about snug sweaters, down comforters, and finally being able to blame static electricity for my bad hair days!
ReplyDeleteI've only gotten a cold sore once in my life and Abreva is what I used!! Luckily it does work SUPER quickly. To stay confident I use that and then make sure my hair looks extra cute while that sucker heals ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never had a cold sore, but I get nasty dry and flaky skin in the winter. So...I guess you could say that moisturizing like a mad woman makes me feel like not as much of a leper in the winter months. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Abreva. Wouldn't go without it. How I stay confident in the winter is to always keep a pair of gloves in every coat pocket so my hands are never in the cold naked!
ReplyDeleteI would say use Abreva and some concealer to stay confident

ReplyDeleteSoooo... One time, right before teaching COR 101 for the first time, I got FOUR COLD SORES at once. Those poor freshmen--I was monstrous. I have Abreva everywhere, but I also have buckled and have an outrageously expensive prescription cream AND pills. Just in case. Sigh.
Use concealer to stay confident.

I've never had a cold sore, but lotion is my friend in the winter, along with chopstick/ Burt' s/ eos.
ReplyDeleteMy best tips are to wear your favorite lipstick, use concealer, and smile a lot. Don't let a cold sore change your attitude or personality or confidence. You are worth so much more than your looks.

ReplyDeleteStaying confident...a well stocked pantry so I can just stay home?? My family gets the worst cold sores (and now sadly, I have passed it on to my son). We would always steer clear of anyone who had one for fear of 'catching it'--though I never thought that was really true! Haven't been using Abreva because of pregnancy/nursing, but I miss it! I had a bunch right after I delivered. It was misery.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't your mom a beauty! So much alike you are.
ReplyDeleteMy tips for staying confident through cold sore season is using a great balm on my lips, makeup always works to cover any blemishes, and Abreva helps to get cold sores to disappear.
