Currently: August [The Vlog Edition]

^^^ This is a screenshot. If you press the "play" button, nothing will happen, but you will probably feel dumb.

So I made this video yesterday and decided I would just post it now instead of waiting until Monday. A little weekend treat, if you will.

This is a "Currently" video, where I talk about what I'm currently creating, wishlisting, hoping, eating, and watching. (Linking up with Jenna!) I tried something new and added a faint song in the background just to spruce things up (and to cover up the annoying buzz that my stupid computer does when I film something).

I really tried to not think about trying too hard with this. Part of my problem with videos in the past has been that I'm trying too hard to appear comfortable, which I think makes it all seem forced. Hopefully I did better with this one. Let me know what you think. One change I would make next time is losing the water bottle, but apparently I needed something to do with my hands. I hope it doesn't make you want to beat me over the head with it. But I'm 38.5 weeks pregnant and thirsty! Don't hate.

The video should be embedded below, but if you can't see it, watch on YouTube here. Happy weekend!

You are hilarious. I wish we could be friends in real life. I seriously tried hitting play on the screen shot, yeup. Anyways, I can't wait until your next update is "we had a baby".

Loved the vlog! I don't know you're making it in this Oklahoma scorcher. I was pregnant in June. I thought it was unbearable then, but now it's just ridiculous! My husband makes me watch Criminal Minds at night then I have horrible dreams. Not fun at all. I try to hurry and turn it to Friends before he comes to bed. The mac & cheese sounds really good. I've never had the 3 cheese kind. Have a great weekend! Hoping baby comes soon!

No judging on the Mac and cheese here. My favorite is the kind that you squeeze the cheese out of the pouch. I don't even want to know what the sodium content is. I haven't had it in a really long time, though.
I love how light your house is! We have tons of trees in the front yard which block a lot of the light. We get a lot more natural light in the back of the house in the afternoon and evening. Having a slider in the dining area really helps.
Finally, Friends heals all wounds.

You're awesome and I totally want to be IRL friends with you. Haha. Also, I completely judge anyone who doesn't find Parks and Recreation hilarious, acquired taste or not. Praying these next couple weeks, or days fly by for you and that you get the birth you want! ♡♡

Loved the vlog--you should do this at least every month! Absolutely no judging on the mac and cheese....we do the same thing with adding the kielbasa to it and I personally think it's the best thing since sliced bread. :) Also Parks and Rec is hilarious. Hoping time flies and baby comes soon!

I love your videos! It's like having a chat with you (except you can't hear me). I don't care if you're comfortable or not. I would love to vlog but am terrified of it, so I understand the dilemma.

I admit one of my pet peeves when it comes to vlogs is seeing people eat/drink (mouth noises!), but I LOVE YOU ANYWAY.

Ha! Jordan watched the video and was like I AM SO ANNOYED BY THE WATER BOTTLE. So you're not alone. Next time I'll pay more attention and not take a drink every 30 seconds ;)

I totally clicked the play button on the screen shot and totally felt dumb! :) Loved the vlog, you're hilarious!

Kielbasa is a food my husband didn't realize was food until he left New England. So is mostaccioli, which is one of my favorite comfort dishes.

Best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery experience for you and BB!

The undersestimating your size while pregnant thing always cracks me up. Nearly every one of my friends has done that while pregnant (and usually it includes them knocking something off the counter with their belly). I know I won't find it nearly as funny when it's me (or maybe I still will?). But it made me smile when you mentioned that. :)

It didn't bother me to see you drink from your bottle - weirdly enough it made you seem very real. Not at all scripted. Like this would be what it would be like to sit down and chat with you over coffee. Except clearly you're being healthy and having water. Except for the part where you also eat cookies and boxed mac and cheese... which again makes you seem more like a real person, haha! I'm a fan of your vlogs! :)

You're so brave to do this... I'm totally scared to video myself :) Thanks for linking up!

1. I love Parks and Rec.

2. Growing up, if my parents were eating something they knew I wouldn't like, my mom would make polish kielbasa with mac and cheese. HOWEVER, the mac and cheese had to be REAL. I'm pretty sure I didn't even have boxed mac and cheese until much later in life. It's good but not my first choice. And noooow I want mac and cheese and kielbasa.

You say this is awkward, but this is how I am basically every day. I thought I'd come to terms with my awkwardness, but I see I haven't.
Loved the vlog. Lol.
