planning
Two trips to Illinois this summer! We will be flying with R on one trip and driving 13+ hours with her on another trip, so we are planning how to best make that happen without any meltdowns from adults and/or infants. (Read: snacks)
enjoying
Currently I am enjoying a bowl of fresh strawberries and mangos. Because give me all the fruit all the time.
buying
I am on the hunt for some curtains for our front room. I also want to buy some patio furniture for our back porch!
But in all honesty, I will actually be trying to buy as little as possible this month. I looked over our final budget for May, and let's just say I do not know what happened to our grocery bill, but it wasn't good. I feel slightly ashamed looking at it. I don't even know how we spent that much! Locking it down for June.

Ice cream. Always ice cream. Last year at this time I was 7 months pregnant and was able to blame that on pregnancy cravings. I asked Jordan why he doesn't run out at 9pm to get me milkshakes anymore. He just shook his head at me.
pinning
Over the weekend I made these muffins that I had pinned, and they are so good! You should try them! I made a batch to eat for breakfast all week.

Ice cream seems to be a pretty popular choice with the craving prompt this month! I love ice cream, too! Don't feel too bad about your grocery budget. My husband is laying the law down over the summer with our eating out. Enjoy your Wednesday!
Yummm. Ice cream is the best- especially in the summer. Good luck with your trips to IL! We're doing a 13 hour car trip to/up the east coast. There are no babies- just four adults. I'm nervous about everyone staying happy, too! Haha!
Ice cream and fruit!! Yes please! Good luck with your trips -- we're taking our little guy on an airplane trip in July, and I'm so nervous about it!!
Too funny - I'm eating a bowl of strawberries and pineapple while reading this! I can't get enough :)
If you're wanting a milkshake that late maybe you need to fake a pregnancy... Could work... ;-)
Girl, I am ashamed every week of our grocery bill. I don't know how two people spend so much at the store and we don't even really buy extras. I love love love fresh fruit and have been eating it like crazy lately! Which lends to the high bill. Those muffins look fun and different.
Snacks really do solve all road trip related incidents, don't they?
Those muffins sound delicious! and amazing and so different. Obviously I need to make them.
Snacks definitely help prevent meltdowns (for babies and adults!). :)
Dinner is cooking in the oven right now which means I can smell the BBQ rub on the chicken and it has me craving our dinner. So ready for it to be done! :)
Everyone is planning big trips and I'm over here planning how to get my newborn and myself out the door in time for church, lol! Carrot oatmeal muffins sound intriguing. I might have to try those out!
I bought ice cream AND fudge pops at the grocery store this weekend. Shameful. But, 'tis the season! :)
I'm always craving ice cream too... right now I am blaming it on the pregnancy cravings and don't know what I'll do when I don't have that excuse!!
Our May budget was the same way! Maybe it's the warmer month??? You are so brave to do 13+ hours in a car with an infant. Better be looking for some noise canceling headphones :)
Dave and I just went curtain shopping. Target had some really pretty ones and it took me forever to choose. I also custom ordered some on Etsy for our master bedroom. Sew Panache is the shop I ordered them from. She does a beautiful job and there are 100's of fabrics to choose from.
Is it weird that I rarely crave ice cream? I'm just not that into ice cream. I will crave a steak or bacon before ice cream.=)
Always ice cream!! And actually my hubby will somehow still run out and get those things for me at 9pm even now that our kiddo is 2.5. Actually maybe we need them more in this toddler stage to wind down after wrangling him into bed... And thanks for sharing the muffin recipe! My little mister loves muffins for breakfast, and I love ones that incorporate veggies for him :)
Have I told you I love the new blog format? Because I do.
Mmm, ice cream. That sounds tasty right now. Good luck as you plan the summer travels with R!
i always feel like ice cream. i hope KC runs out at 9pm to get me a milkshake when i'm pregnant. probably not lol.
i feel you on the being ashamed of spending. for me it's grocery and just plain old shopping. i had to put my own foot down about my spending, hopefully june is not as bad.
May was really expensive for us, too, but instead of groceries, I'm blaming it on Angel's brand new Asics Gel Kayanos. I like to remind him that I paid $40 for my athletic shoes in 2010 and they're still in great shape...turns out that's not really great reasoning to someone who actually runs?? Huh? But we're also in "cheap" mode for June because of that.
I used to never eat ice cream--maybe a couple times a year. I also lived in Michigan. Now I eat ice cream almost once a week--in the afternoon when the heat is most beastly. Coincidence? I think not.
Always always always craving ice cream. It's bad! :)
Your lilies are GORGEOUS!
I do miss having the excuse of being pregnant when I wanted inconvenient food at inconvenient times...
