Giant Bubbles

1.17.2020

There's no point to this post except that I wanted to share these photos because I think they are fun :)

My sister-in-law brought a homemade bubble wand to my parents' when we were there for Christmas this year (I guess it's last year at this point!). We took advantage of the warm weather and headed outside to play with it! I've never seen one of these before, and it was so much fun watching the kids running around screaming and chasing giant bubbles. There was so much liquid coming out of them that everyone got baths when we were done. R's hair was completely soaked.

I guess there are perks to having crazy high temperatures on Christmas!
Have you ever used a giant bubble wand? My SIL's mom made it! So cool.

So, how do you make it?? Ha, leaving us hanging. :-)

That's exactly what I was going to say. I need recipes! I think I heard once that glycerin is necessary in the bubble solution for those huge bubbles, right? Also, I couldn't tell from the photos how that wand was made so if you could just do a whole entire tutorial that would be great.

Haha! So sorry ;) My SIL’s Mom made it, so I honestly don’t know. I’ll have to ask her! The wands seemed like they were two poles with thick string attached, and then you dipped them in the bubble solution and pulled them apart to make the bubbles.

I just can't get over J's red hair! It is so precious! Those bubbles look like a BLAST! Adeline would be allll over that!
