The love I feel seems way too big

for a girl so very small

My favorite thing to do is 

just to sit and watch you play

I bend to kiss your chubby cheeks

a million times a day

You love to look at everything

It's fun to watch you stare

And when you get excited

you like to pull hard on my hair

I really can't remember

what it was like before you came

But one thing I can tell you

is that nothing is the same

It's true, I got more sleep back then

and I do miss that a lot

But I wouldn't trade one moment

for the joy your life has brought

Every day I thank God for you

and the life I get to raise

I can't wait to see you grow and learn

over all the coming days
