PSA: I am not emotionally stable enough to blog right now

11.02.2016

Unless you live under a rock and/or you hate America and all things wonderful and/or you don't follow me on Twitter, you might not know that there's a little thing going on called baseball playoffs. My beloved Cubs made the post season and made it to the World Series for the first time in over 70 years, and as much as I love it, these games are killing me.

Normally I would spend some time blogging a few evenings a night, but lately it's been all about baseball. We literally bought a pack-and-play for R last month specifically so we could take her to watch parties and have somewhere to lay her down for bed. Thankfully, she transfers well from the pack-and-play to the car then back to her own bed when we are ready to go home!

If you read my post about waking up, then you know I am not a night person. These games aren't getting over until after 11, and I am not cut out for this type of lifestyle. Normally if I'm not in bed by 9:30, something has gone horribly wrong. So forgive me for not posting a Halloween recap or an update on life currently, because I am not emotionally stable enough to blog right now.

Game 7 is TONIGHT and then win or lose, this whole thing will be over once and for all and I can resume my regularly scheduled evening schedule and bedtime. If you don't have a team, you are welcome to cheer on my Cubbies as they try to break the curse and win the World Series for the first time in over 100 years!

Win or lose, it's sure been fun to actually have a team march triumphantly through the playoffs and actually play in the World Series. And it's so fun we got the chance to take R to a game this year! (Check out a video of our trip to Chicago here!)

Go Cubs!

I am not really a baseball fan, but I get really in to football and games make me nervous and pace and eat and all those things so I totally get it. Good luck, I hope your team goes all the way!

1) I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I love when it goes to game 7! So much excitement!

2) The fact that you bought a pack & play cracks me up because I know that you are the most budget-careful person out there. You obviously mean business.

I am so dead every morning now because I stay up to watch our Indians ;) Of course, my pride has taken a serious hit with these last two games. (Especially last night- woof!) I'm glad it's all over after tonight!

Totally rooting for them tonight! That grand slam gave me all the feels last night 😭😭😭

I literally was laying in bed last night scrolling twitter and I told Jared the only reason I knew baseball was still going on was because of "my blog friend The Lady Okie who loves the Cubs" hahaha. We will be watching tonight though and rooting for your boys! I'm pumped for you because I can imagine how I'd feel if this was football and my team playing in the Super Bowl!

I love baseball, but my team is the Seattle Mariners and I think I would die of a heart attack too if they ever made it to the playoffs. As it stands, they haven't been very good in yeaaaars so I've started paying more attention to football the last 5 years or so. Seahawks!

I don't care much about baseball but I'm totally routing for the cubs right now. ;-)

We are Brewers fans, so cheering for the Cubs is a huge no-no deal breaker. Like I don't know how I'll show my face at Miller Park next year, buuuuuut, Luke & I just can't help it!

Oh my goodness, tonight is such a big night!! Christopher is from Illinois so ever since we started dating I've been a Cubbies fan (I didn't have my own team to cheer for so I joined his, haha). Anyway, 108 years... 108 years!!! It's hard to believe that could all change tonight. Crossing all my fingers and toes! GO CUBBIES!

I'm a baseball fan and I do have a team (I'm a Canadian girl, please don't hate😎) but since my team is out I'm for the Cubs πŸ˜ƒ

I am watching right now and things are looking good for you guys! :) Having your team in the World Series is so fun but so nerve wracking. When the Phillies won I don't think anyone in the city relaxed for ten days lol!

What's a baseball?

Juuuust kidding. I love seeing hardcore fans get a well-deserved win! Also, Bill Murray likes the Cubs, so you are in good company.

I didn't even know the World Series was happening, but I was really happy when my husband told me the Cubs won for the first time in so long (I think he only found out from Reddit). So happy for them and for all the faithful fans!

I heard on the radio this morning that they're dying the river blue for the parade. I know you are wishing you could be there! Congrats to your Cubs!
