My 30 by 30 List + Pictures of Fireworks

7.04.2013

This year I took my very first stab at firework pictures. Thanks to my tripod and remote, it wasn't a horrible flop even though I had no idea what I was doing. I won't be winning any awards, but it was pretty fun.

Now that Independence Day is over, we start talking about something really important....

My 27th birthday!

The looming arrival of this monumentous event in T-minus five days seemed to me like the perfect time to create my very own 30 by 30 list.

In case you're unfamiliar with the phrase, this is a list of 30 things I want to complete by the time I am 30 years old. I should tell you that a few of the items on this list are already completed. You can call that a cop-out if you want, but I decided it would be okay to include things I'd already done only if they were things I would have put on a 30 by 30 list had I made one when everyone else was doing it, like five years ago.

It was important for me to include measurable goals instead of stuff like "be nicer" or "wake up earlier." I mean really. Vague much? Also, a lot of these involve traveling, which may or may not happen if I still don't have some sort of notable income in the next three years.

Final note: I'm still debating on an add-on for #31: avoid being homeless.

Now then.

Great pics, girl! Love that last one. We looked out north and had the best show from over there in crazy town.

I like the 30 by 30 list, except all I can think of for mine would be "sleep longer than 2 hours at a time" maybe I should revisit this idea next year...

Hahah I think "use my bundt pan" is my favorite! I really hope you can make that dream come true :)

Soooo we're kind of twins. My 27th birthday is the 11th... I love birthdays, but whew, 27?! I'm a little terrified. Anyway, It makes me happy to know that we are just one step closer to finding out we have everything in common :)

Love this list! I am turning 30 in September, so I only have time for one goal - a 30 minute 5K! That's my 30x30 goal!

I love that so many of your goals are acts of kindness to others. You got this!

I think 23 and 25 can be combined into one event.

Oh my goodness gracious, girl! How did you get such great firework pictures? Have you seen mine on my blog yet? They were pathetic! Ha! Great photography!

Maybe I should make a 30 by 30 list now so I have almost ten years to complete it?

I just came across your blog on Pinterest, and I LOVE it. I just started running in Feb, and I'm doing my first half in October. I have to say, I'm hooked. I'll definitely be following you on Blog Lovin.

If you have a second, I just started a blog of my own at Beautyandthegreek.blogspot.com, and I would love for you to check it out.

Happy birthday! Bobby flay has an incredible recipe for a mojito, that's how I learned how to make them. And look at you having already accomplished most of those! Also, I'm replacing "try not to be homeless" with "edit Chelsea's book." It just sounds better, obviously.

Those are awesome fireworks pictures! I couldn't get my camera settings quite right this year. And what a great list :) I've been hesitating to make one because I'm afraid I won't accomplish them! haha
