Traveled
I went to Dallas October 3-5 so my brother and I could run our Tough Mudder together.

Dates

Fun fact: I always get fruit in mine, and Jordan always gets chunks of heath bar.

One of the most exciting things that's been going on in our lives lately has been our new Sunday school class. For the past few years I have been praying that we would become friends with new couples in our church.

A few months ago, we moved into a new Sunday school class, and I am absolutely loving getting to know the people in our class. We do monthly outings, and in October, six of the couples went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze! We picked pumpkins, got lost in a corn maze, played lazer tag, and went to dinner. It was so much fun! Plus, would you believe it, but after over three years of marriage, this is Jordan's and my very first pumpkin! Lots of excitement! And exclamation points!
I got inspired by Erin's awesome pumpkin and carved this ghost! I'm a little proud of myself.

Notable Events
As you probably already know by now, my brother and I ran the Dallas Tough Mudder. For epic race pics (I mean seriously epic) and a full recap, go here.

One of my best friends came to visit me this month! She flew from the great state of Illinois to hang with me for the weekend. Justine was my maid of honor, and we were roommates in college. A few weeks ago I won a Martha Stewart cookbook in a blog giveaway, so we looked through it for something to make. We decided to try our hand at making our own pasta!
The pasta turned out amazing, and when paired with my homemade Alfredo sauce, it was a delicious meal. Martha would have been proud.

^^^ Last but not least, this month I got spoiled with an amazing sunset. No filter on this picture. I mean look at it. I was on my way home from Texas, driving north on I-35, and I just had to pull over and snap a picture of this beauty.
